The Owner

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Kevin Tomlinson is an experienced barber and hair stylist for men and women. 

Growing up poor in the Waterhouse area of Kingston, Kevin’s mom would cut his hair, and he didn’t like it. So, he started the craft of barbering himself at the age of 9, and he quickly mastered the trade without professional training.  

In fact, Kevin got so good at it, that he started cutting his family’s hair, then became the unofficial barber of the entire neighborhood. 

At 13, Kevin studied cosmetology in high school. He was called a “natural” by his instructors, and quickly became a Teacher’s Assistant, where he cut the hair of the school’s instructors and students.  

In 2016, he graduated at the top of his class with a Level 1 Certificate in Cosmetology. 

Kevin migrated to the U.S. in 2021 with the goal of becoming one of the best barbers in America. The same year, he established KevvKutt, and has been successful at building his client base by focusing on quality, customer care, and competitive pricing.  

An eternal optimist, Kevin is excited about the future of KevvKutt, and looks forward to this journey with the many clients he's been able to build long-term relationships with.
